Festivals & Events
The Khatu Shyam Temple celebrates a vibrant calendar of religious festivals throughout the year. Plan your pilgrimage around these auspicious occasions.
Phalguna Mela
The Phalguna Mela is the grandest and most celebrated festival at Khatu Dham, held during the Hindu month of Phalgun (February–March). Over three days — the Ekadashi, Dwadashi, and Trayodashi of Shukla Paksha — the entire town of Khatu transforms into a sea of devotion.
The fair draws over 10 lakh pilgrims from across Rajasthan, Haryana, Punjab, Delhi, Uttar Pradesh, and beyond. Special processions, kirtan programmes, cultural events, and extended darshan make this an extraordinary experience. The roads, dharamshalas, and open fields around Khatu fill to capacity with devoted pilgrims camping overnight.
The festival has been held without interruption for hundreds of years and represents one of the strongest expressions of Baba Shyam's faith community — the vast fraternity of Shyam devotees that spans the entire North Indian Hindi belt.
