Useful Tips for Visitors

॥ यात्रियों के लिए सुझाव ॥

Make the most of your pilgrimage to Khatu Dham with these practical tips.

🌅
Arrive Early for Peaceful DarshanThe best time to visit for a quick, undisturbed darshan is early morning (5:30–8:00 AM on weekdays). Evenings and weekends tend to be more crowded. Ekadashi days and festivals attract very large crowds — plan to arrive before sunrise for these.
📅
Plan Around the Festival CalendarIf you wish to experience the Phalguna Mela or Ekadashi, book accommodation several weeks in advance. All accommodation in Khatu fills up completely during these periods. Check the festival calendar before finalising travel dates.
👗
Dress Modestly and AppropriatelyWear traditional or modest Indian attire to the temple. Clothing that covers the shoulders and knees is required. Ladies may wish to carry a dupatta or scarf for head covering inside the sanctum.
💧
Carry Water and Stay HydratedRajasthan can be extremely hot, especially from March to June. Carry a water bottle and stay hydrated, particularly if you are visiting during summer months or festival periods when waiting in queues can take several hours.
👟
Footwear StorageAll footwear must be removed before entering the temple premises. Paid footwear storage counters are available near all major entry points. It is advisable to wear easy-to-remove footwear when visiting.
🚗
Parking and VehiclesDesignated parking areas are available on the outskirts of Khatu town. During festival periods, vehicles may not be permitted close to the temple and you may need to walk the final stretch. Plan for this when estimating your arrival time.
